Website Brand Director

Reports to: Senior Vice President, Digital

POSITION OVERVIEW:
Emerald is seeking a talented and dynamic Website Brand Director to drive new website development within a leading tradeshow company. With a background rooted in the web, the ideal candidate will be experienced in a wide range of digital areas including website architecture, requirements writing, SEO, analytics, ad serving, and CMS development. This is a great opportunity for a passionate digital leader to put their expertise to work on a mix of projects.

Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, development and optimization of the portfolio of tradeshow websites, this role will plan, lead and/or implement new website development initiatives, working closely with developers and designers to clearly define functional specifications. The role is high level, but definitely hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

Major areas of responsibility include:
1. Deep understanding of website structure, features, and enhancements
2. Day-to-day interaction with 40+ brand teams to define requirements for website enhancements
3. Ad operations (ad serving using DFP)
4. Analytics (using Google Analytics)
5. Management of 4 direct reports

Responsibilities include:
-Collaborate with brand marketers and digital team to determine requirements and including website architecture and features for new website builds.
-Manage brand requests for website enhancements.
-Work closely with designers and developers to determine functional specifications for new website features.
-Oversee monthly and ad hoc reporting of website and email analytics. Measure performance using Google Analytics. Use insights to improve site/email performance.
-Oversee ad serving across all websites using DFP, ensuring timely delivery, reporting, and scheduling.
-Understand digital best practices; educating our brands teams to implement.
-Manage a team of 4 direct reports (Ad Operations Manager, Web & SEO Specialist, and Market Development Directors).
-Oversee 3rd party partner and vendor relationships as needed.

Requirements:
-6 – 8 years website experience; management of team required.
-Expertise in website development processes, requirements writing, and technology.
-Strong project leadership and organizational skills.
-Superb attention to detail.
-Ability to juggle multiple projects with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
-Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
-BA/BS required; MBA preferred.

-Content Management Systems including WordPress
-Google Analytics
-DFP
-Silverpop or other email deployment platform
