Sales Manager – Healthcare Design

EVENT OVERVIEW:

The Healthcare Design Exposition and Conference is the premier event devoted to how the design of responsibly built environments directly impacts the safety, operation, clinical outcomes, and financial success of healthcare facilities now and into the future. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating revenue in booth space, sponsorship, advertising, list rental and digital, as well as manage a staff of 2 sales people for The Healthcare Design Exposition and Conference (HCD) and Environments for Aging Expositions and Conference (EFA) AND supporting the efforts of 2 additional sales people for the Medtrade (MT) and Medtrade Spring (MTs) brands; While additionally assisting in the oversight of outside sales representative for the Construction SuperConference (CSC).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:

  •   Oversee day to day sales management, team reporting and
    • Assist GSD and Marketing Director with tactical and strategic marketing plans for team
    • Provide strategic input to the GSD and Marketing Director
    • Provided GSD with daily/weekly sales reports and other sales updates as needed
    • Work with GSD on special projects, prospectus, onsite procedures for renewal and other projects as needed
    • Responsible for negotiating and selling exhibit space, sponsorships, advertising, digital and other products as directed within a designated territory for HCD
  • Responsible managing the sales team in the negotiating and selling exhibit space, sponsorships, advertising, digital and other products as directed for entire territory for EFA and their designated territories for HCD
  •  Meet with sales teams individually daily and as a team weekly to direct efforts
  • Meet with GSD to provide updates as needed
  • Assist Medtrade sales team with sales plan and campaign development and serve as sales consultant
  • Work with the GSD and Sales Coordinator in developing a comprehensive prospect list library and developing campaigns as part of the overall sales plan to reach these prospects for each healthcare brand
  • Maintain and grow established business for all brands
  • Develop custom projects as necessary to enhance revenue growth.
  • Attend other tradeshows as necessary for prospecting and customer development
  • Work with GSD and sales teams to develop and cultivate long lasting client relationships especially with leading companies in each brand industry
  • Meet individual and team sales quotas and sales activity requirements as assigned
  • Assist accounting with collections, as needed
  • Provide tactical and strategic sales support and service to exhibitors leading up, during and after the show, providing a high level of appropriate customer service and assistance.
  • Maintain proficiency in Salesforce, a2z, and other sales software tools as assigned
  • Update booth sales via a2z and maintain good records in Salesforce for clients and oversee for team
  • List is not all inclusive; additional duties may be assigned as business require

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.A./B.S. degree
  • Minimum 5 year sales experience
  • A strong working knowledge of trade shows and exhibit space sales is preferred
  • The ability to lead as well as take direction
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage individual clients as well as team
  • Professional demeanor
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Telemarketing and phone sales experience a plus
  • Computer literate: MS Office, CRM database experience (a2z and Salesforce experience a plus)
  • Ability to travel 8-10 times per year
