Sales Development Representative – Sports/SurfExpo

Sales Development Representative’s primary responsibility will be to focus on generating new, qualified opportunities for Account Executives.

Job Description:
Primary Function: Based on exciting new ‘Sales 2.0’ prospecting techniques with a focus on mutual business fit, research and consultative discussion, create highly relevant sales opportunities for Account Executives. The Sales Development Representative is more than a lead generator; they also act as a lead qualifier. Duties would include customer research, identifying companies that fit our ideal exhibitor profiles for booth space and sponsorship, finding the correct contact at those companies and establishing initial communication with the lead company’s contact to establish interest before passing off to an appropriate sales person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and execute proven processes to generate new sales opportunities
  • Strategize with show director & account executives on exhibitor leads
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects
  • Leverage CRM tools to prospect into specific geographic territories and sectors, qualify, contact and pass leads to appropriate Account Executives.

  • A commanding desire to learn and succeed in tech sal
  • 2+ years sales or related market/business experience
  • Candidates should have one of the following: software/saas experience, sales experience or other related business experience
  • Salesforce.com experience a plus
  • The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner
