Supervisor: Director of Marketing

Working closely with the marketing director, designer, operations manager, and contracted creative agencies, the marketing manager is responsible for the development and implementation of collateral,
Essential Functions/Job Duties (List is not all-inclusive; additional duties will be performed as required):
•On-Site Events, Programs and Features: Define, scope and execute on-site events such as educational programs and sponsored events designed to increase show attendance and drive traffic to the show floor.
•Direct Mail: Develop and maintain schedule; work with designer to develop creative; manage print and production; manage postage and fulfillment; list purchase and barter. Manage direct mail list growth, direct mail fulfillment and attendee CRM database updates in conjunction with Buyer Relations team.
•Email: facilitate outbound email communications to buyers, exhibitors and media per communications schedule, working with designer for development of the email graphics, and writing copy as needed. Manage the list segmentation for each email and track performance and ROI.
•Onsite Directory and Magazine: Manage relationship with printer, designer and pre-press team, collect advertising assets from exhibitors, run and proof exhibitor lists, manage revenue and expenses.
•Sponsorship Sales: Develop and organize exhibitor sponsorship packages. Oversee the sales of product spotlight emails, On-site Directory ads and Magazine ads.
•Budget Management: Oversee management and tracking of print and production jobs; maintain budget including coding invoices and accruals working closely with marketing director and show manager.
•Media Buys: Working with Marketing Director, maintain planned ad distribution schedule, assist in creative development; manage layout and production of advertorial pages. Serve as primary contact with contracted creative agencies.

•Computer savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
•Able to travel to Surf Expo twice yearly and other shows as required (approximately 15% of the year for up to 1 week at a time).
•Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or event management strongly preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years marketing experience required; previous consumer/trade show experience preferred.
