Reports to: Marketing Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA
Provide support to Marketing Manager in the planning, creation and execution of various marketing tactics and programs to support the ASD Trade Shows’ strategic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
•Working closely with the marketing manager, outside vendors, to provide production support for marketing efforts that grow exhibitor and attendee participation.
•Coordinate the copywriting and creative design for marketing tactics (direct and indirect) that include sales brochures, direct mail, print, email, social media and digital ad campaigns aimed at growing attendance and/or sales.
•Help define and execute social media strategy by growing engagement of current customers and acquiring new ones via social sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
•Responsible for helping communicate goals, key messages and relevant logistical information to internal staff.
•Conduct research as needed for lead generation (sales and attendee prospecting).
•Coordinate the fulfillment for all online and print advertising.
•Manage changes and updates to company website and social media sites.
•Exposure to individual project budgets and costs; successfully monitors plan implementation against budget and timing.
•Proactively applies best practices from other assignments that improve process or performance of current show.
•Works with management team to actively track competitive shows and/or publications to seek out new prospects; mines other lists as assigned for the same purpose.
•Handles immediate requests for information providing utmost level of customer service and information.
•Keeps current on industry trends for assigned Expos for assigned group and is familiar with industry in which they focus as well as customer needs in those markets.
•Attends all shows and provides on-site support as assigned
•Matchmaking and Attendee relations back up as assigned. Show Site support for Matchmaking, Concierge and VIP Buyers lounges/events.
•Assist in coordination of webinars/seminars an ongoing exhibitor and attendee education as assigned.
•Develops letters and other written communication in support of show staff.
•Provides focused inside administration and support to sales, marketing and attendee acquisition teams internally and exhibitors and attendees externally. Additionally, provides administrative support to maintain the escalating requirements emanating from corporate organization.
•Other administrative responsibilities such as processing invoices, budget reconciliation, customer service, and other duties as assigned.
•Other Marketing Projects as determined by Marketing Management.
•Attendee acquisition prospecting including call campaigns, in store visits and buyer hosting as required.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
•BS/BA Degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
•2+ years marketing experience required.
•Work experience in the General Merchandise, Gift and or Event Production preferred.
•Excellent planning, organization and multitasking skills. A strong attention to detail required.
•Highly organized self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision and thrives in a fast paced environment.
•Excellent writing and oral communication skills a must.
•Outstanding communicator, you’ll be able to interact professionally with all levels of staff, both internal and external, especially mid to senior management.
•Experience with Social Media planning and execution a strong plus.
•Strong database management skills (Goldmine or Salesforce.com a plus)
•Experience with Google Analytics and Google Adwords a plus.
•Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
•Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator experience a plus, but not required.
•Travel to conferences and trade shows is required (up to 15%).
