Reports to: Marketing Director
Location: Atlanta, GA
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for producing visual graphics including print, email, web, mobile, traditional (signage) and social media for Surf Expo.
Responsibilities: (Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following)
•Work with the Director of Marketing and team members to produce advertising materials in support of online and traditional marketing campaigns (digital, print and direct).
•Produce and implement graphics for website, including development of new pages and forms.
•Produce and implement graphics within email campaigns for both Exhibitor and Attendee Marketing and sales initiatives and act as a project manager to ensure all campaigns are deployed successfully.
•Produce the On-Site Directory, show Magazine, as well as on-site signage.
Skills & Abilities:
•Demonstrated proficiency in the design and development of graphic elements using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
•High skill level in a variety of graphic design activities; including, typography, desktop publishing, layout, production, illustration, and file preparation.
•Strong design sense with an eye for typography, palette development, intuitive layout, and a pixel-level attention to detail.
•Thorough knowledge of printing processes and requirements for postal regulations.
•Understanding of basic web usability architecture and design.
•Good project management skills, and the ability to multi task.
•Self-driven, with highly effective time management, communication and organizational skills.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Outstanding interpersonal skills including a deep commitment to the company goals, highly adaptive, intellectual curiosity, good judgment, honesty and integrity.
•Bachelor of Arts degree in Art, Graphic Design, Multi-Media or related field.
•5+ years of web development experience.
•Experience using HTML and familiarity with content management systems.
•Experience with Mailchimp or similar mail platform.
•Experience with key email fundamentals including CAN-SPAM compliance, deliverability, spam complaint rates, etc.
